Why the choice of the proper pillow is so important
More than 60% of all grown-ups suffer under problems in the back — especially in the cervical- and lumbar-spine –- combined with pain that manifests itself in migraine and severe occipital pain. Only few people know that these complaints can be alleviated with an anatomically effective bed underlay. And, many underestimate the meaning of a proper pillow.
“The interaction of slat frame, mattress and pillow is decisive when you want to get rid of the mentioned pains”, says sleeping expert Dr. med. h.c. Günther W. Amann-Jennson. When the spine is not only properly supported in the lower area but also in the neck-, shoulder- and head-area a restful sleep you are waking-up from without pain is ensured. When lying, the curve of the spine may not be altered, so that the intervertebral discs remain in their natural position like when standing.
