Hints from sleeping expert Guenther W. Amann-Jennson on New Year’s Eve
Many people try to prevent a sleep debt on New Year’s Eve with “pre-sleeping”. But, since this “sleeping ahead” happens during the day or in the early hours of the evening the sleeping structure of the human being gets changed. Our body is not able to save recreation and therefore will be just as tired as without some extra sleep. This means, it is not possible to sleep ahead. But, if you should have the feeling that you have gotten too less sleep –- a power napping of 20 to 30 minutes is very helpful! So, you will be able to enjoy New Year’s Eve till the wee hours of the morning.
In this sense, a good start into the new year.
