For nearly 30 years, with my researches I not only strive to develop and offer solutions for the biological best sleep but also to explain people again and again how important it is to care for sufficient and high-quality sleep. To sum up all scientific facts of the recent decades: more than 70 % of our physical and 100 (!) % of our mental regeneration depend on sleep! So, if you want to be mentally fit, you must care for biological high-quality sleep.
Sleep is the “best medicine”
Medicine takes the point of view that healthy sleep is “the best medicine”. It is said to be preventive, physically as well as mentally. For the one who wants to stay or become healthy and who cares about the physical-mental well-being, natural sleep regulation should be a top priority.
At the same time it is interesting to learn why sleep is so important for us humans. Maybe exactly you belong to the people who want to be mentally fit, who want to implement their visions and ideas and who want to realize the full potential of the personal brain performance. If you strive for success on all levels, if you wish to build up a great knowledge by studying, if you find lifelong learning and collecting of experiences important you should give sleep top priority.
Challenge healthy sleep
Admitted, nowadays, the challenge to sleep healthy is pretty big. The modern lifestyle hinders about 80 % of all working people to sleep healthy and sufficient (DAK health report 2017). So, it’s no wonder that worldwide every nine minutes a study dealing with sleep is published. Summed up, about 20,000 scientific research findings per year concerning sleep. It turned into a huge challenge to retain overview and especially to realize sleep biological important and practical advices.
Still, it makes sense to point out relevant studies for a better understanding why sleep incl. sleep habits is the most important single factor for health, well-being, performance, creativity, joie de vivre and success. And especially for our mental fitness that is endangered in our stress oriented society it becomes more and more important.
