Lose weight during sleep
You are burning fat during the night when you take the sleep-wake-rhythm into account and nourish yourself properly. One who sleeps seven or more hours during the night loses weight more easily than one who only sleeps four or five hours. Perfect for nightly weight loss are meat, soya, sweet lupine, vegetable, eggs or fish for dinner. Protein-containing food before going to bed activates fat reduction during the night. On the other hand, avoid carbs in the evening! Hence do without noodles, rice or potatoes.
Women sleep better when alone, men don’t
Women and men not only differ in appearance and behavior but also clearly in their sleeping behavior. Whereas women have a better sleep when sleeping alone, men have a calmer and more relaxing sleep when their loved one is resting next to them. Austrian sleep scientists found out that women without bed neighbors are much calmer and the pure sleeping time is higher.

Women generally have a lighter sleep and therefore are more easily to disturb than men. This is like nature intended it to be: mothers need to hear any uneasiness of their children. But of course this leads to the fact that they more easily get disturbed by any other noises, too. For example snoring. Almost every third woman is complaining about snoring sounds of their partner.
Too less and too much sleep
Studies reveal that regularly too less sleep (six hours or less) or regularly too much sleep (more than nine hours) is shortening life expectancy. Seven to eight hours sleep are ideal for a grown-up.
Sleeping through
When you are waking up in the morning with the comfortable feeling of having slept deep and sound you most certainly have had a recreational night. It is a doubtful, that it was without a break. It’s completely normal to wake up up to 28 times per night. Mostly, these waking-up-phases only last a few minutes and you don’t remember them in the morning.
Sleep makes you more attractive
Your beauty sleep is far from being a myth –- it even is a scientifically based reality. Swedish scientists have proved in an experiment that people who really had a good sleep clearly were perceived much more attractive. One reason for this is that our skin is supplied with important hormones during sleep and this encourages natural regeneration. After sleeping, the skin appears tighter, younger and healthier.
