Often the much longed-for night rest is disturbed by or even completely impossible because of excruciating back pain. The missing physical and mental recovery during sleep in turn increase complaints – you are trapped in a vicious circle. Of course, sometimes expert advice is necessary but when considering the following advices you make your own contribution towards freedom from pain.
Bedroom
Besides the proper temperature of 61 ° to 64 °F, darkness and peace it is also important to check your bedroom for “troublemakers”. Not only electric interference fields impair our sleep but also unfinished ironing or work from the office make relaxation and switching-off difficult. Are there any pictures or furniture that remind you of a hard time in your life, an unhappy relationship? Remove it and make your bedroom to your “feel-good-room” free of disturbances of any kind!
Bed
Our bed is directly influencing us and our body – beginning with the materials used for the frame and the content up to the characteristics of your sleeping system. It is important that only natural and untreated raw materials are used. Only then we are able to support our body with the detoxification happening during sleeping.
Especially when you are suffering under back pain place intensified attention to your bedding content: a holistic, orthopedic sleeping system supports you and your body, a complete letting-go and relaxation becomes easy. Important: pay attention for the proper pillow! Especially with regard to back pain this is very important and yet often overseen.
Sufficient and proper exercise
Our body not only needs peace and relaxation. Everyday exercise, moderate sports, fasciae training, yoga etc. support you in your effort to become pain-free, fit and flexible.
Work on mental strain
Our psyche and our physical well-being are interacting. Therefore it is possible that mental strains become noticeably by back pain. Working on such strains has a direct positive influence on physical complaints. Often a remarkable relief is already noticeable while working on them.
Of course, interaction works the other way round also: as soon as you offer your body the needed rest by sufficient healthy sleep working on burdensome situations will be positively supported.
