Besides exercise, fresh air and a lot of healthy sleep, wild herbs successfully alleviate spring fever.
Some wild herbs that counteract spring fatigue
Dandelion: Dandelion revives and activates metabolism. Furthermore, it dehydrates and detoxifies. A tea or juice is perfect for a springtime makeover. Dandelion for example has 30 times more vitamin C and 25 times more magnesium than lettuce. The young leaves can be used in a salad or chopped eaten in toppings.
Stinging nettles: The stinging nettle is also helpful against spring fever. It counteracts listlessness, increases resistance and stimulates circulatory. Furthermore, it has a dehydrating effect and so supports detoxification. Drunken as juice, tea or in a smoothie stinging nettles are perfect for a springtime makeover. In the kitchen you can use it in a soup or prepare it like spinach.
Wild garlic: Wild garlic is rich in iron and vitamin C. It is blood purifying, stimulating and invigorating. It’s tasting like garlic, hence the name. Wild garlic can be eaten in a soup, topping or in a pesto. Be careful when collecting wild garlic on your own, it resembles the poisonous lilies of the valley.
Daisies: Daisies are not only nice to look at, they are healthy, too. They contain a large amount of the vitamins A, C and E as well as different minerals. This wild herb is blood purifying and stimulates metabolism. In a springtime makeover you can use daisies as tea, juice or smoothie. They are also perfect in a fresh salad.
