Problems, conflicts and stressful situations might lead to permanent stress. To never let get it so far try to solve them as fast as possible. It might be helpful to take a closer look to the situation and to analyze it. As a first step, write down your problem. Often this clears the head and the problem alleviates.
Instructions for solving problems, conflicts and stressful situations
Try to characterize your problem. Write down the answers to the following questions:
- What makes this situation stressful?
- What effects does the situation have on me?
- What or who caused the problem?
- What do you want to change and who might be helpful?
How can you solve your problem: A positive attitude is important when you want to solve a problem. Try to focus on the solution not on the problem. The problem always is connected with negative feelings. Collect different solutions. Discuss your problem with your partner, your friend, or colleagues. Try to find a solution in the internet. Write down all ideas.
Weigh and sort all suggestion: Select an appropriate solution: After having made a list with possible solutions you have to weigh and sort all suggestions. What are the advantages/disadvantages of the respective solution? How does the solution affect you and others? After having analyzed and sorted the ideas decide for the best solution.
Plan implementation: Think about your further strategy, especially fix a starting day for beginning. Care for realistic goals. A plan provides necessary certainty; you exactly know the next step.
Realize your plan: Now you have to implement your plan. Just take small steps and reward yourself for first positive results.
Evaluate the results: In the end, control and evaluate the result. Where you able to solve your problem? If not, try to find the reasons and start with a new approach. Ask your friends, family or colleagues for help again. They have an objective point of view which makes it easier to find a solution.
