Leave the stresses and strains of everyday life behind, give yourself time to relax and to be quiet and care for a wellness feeling at home. Relaxation breaks help us to gather new energy or to simply switch off. Vanilla, cinnamon or spruce needles not only have a lovely scent. They also care for necessary relaxation. Fragrances are emotional treats. The have a positive effect on the vegetative nervous system and the limbic system.
Spruce needles remind us to a walk in the woods. Before going to bed, relax in a pleasant bath with a scent of spruce needles. Cook about three hands full of freshly cut and small chopped twigs of spruce for half an hour in two liters of water. Pour off the liquid and add it to your bathing water. The water temperature should not be more than 35 °C. Step into the bathtub and dream about a walk in the woods. By the way, spruce needles also ease joint pains, cough and cold. Vanilla spreads a sweet smell and lifts the spirits.
A mixture of cinnamon, orange and star anise care for a good mood. Whether classically added to an arrangement, used as essential oils or a tea – your living room is going to smell very good. Oranges topped with cloves, cinnamon sticks or star anise not only look nice at your windowsills or at your chest of drawers but also have a pleasant smell.
