Scientific research confirm an old experience: compared to a wood décor bed, sleep in a bed made of pine wood showed a clearly better sleeping quality. By using the HRV-measuring, the Austrian Science Association “Joanneum Research” Graz, Austria, succeeded in gaining sensational insights in the positive effects of pine wood, amongst others.
The HRV-tests were conducted with a number of test persons. The test in the laboratory showed significant differences in the grade of recovery in a bed made of pine wood compared to an identically designed wooden décor room. Pine wood caused a lower heart rate during physical and mental strain. During the subsequent resting phases, the vegetative recovery process got accelerated. For example, in a room made of pine wood, weather sensitivity of the heart rate did not even occur. Herewith, a better sleeping quality in a massive, untreated bed made of pine wood is proven, too!
Prof. Maximilian Moser, scientific head, summarizes the findings: “When sleeping in a pine-wood-room or a bed made of pine wood you are reaching a heart-labor-saving of about 3,500 beats, on an average. This corresponds about one hour heart-work per day.”
The example of pine wood clearly shows the reciprocal effect of materials on to the human organism. The scientific measurings confirm the calming, sleep enhancing and heart protective effect. And only a good sleeping quality is able to care for the necessary regeneration and strengthening of all processes of body, mind and soul.
