There were times where people assumed that health is rather statically. The modern terminology of the WHO (World Health Organisation) is meanwhile pointing into a new, dynamic direction: “Health is a positive functional general condition in terms of a dynamic bio-psychological balanced state that continuously needs to be preserved or rebuilt.” According to this definition, health is not only to be understood as a state but rather as a dynamically and constantly changing process, which has to be balanced by ourselves, above all.
The definition of the Ottawa Charta (WHO 1987) is also worth mentioning:
“Health is to be understood to be a satisfying amount of physically, psychically, socially and economically functionality and to be able to take care of yourself into old age.” When you want to make a positive contribution to the care-discussion in our society, the ability for “taking care of oneself into old age” including the sleep-ability is especially increasing importance.
From the health-psychological point of view, nowadays health can be reached when people succeed in getting over prevailing contrasts and by that reach a balance of these counteracting forces. And this path mainly has to do with our own thinking and acting and of course sleeping. Because, the healthy, recreational and especially Bionergetic® Sleep is having a balancing as well as a strengthening effect.
Stress can be healthy as well as pathogen
Paradoxically, people get into negative stress when they repeatedly get confronted with things “you shouldn’t do”, because it might harm the health. Amongst others, things like alcohol, smoking and fine food are included into this. Although nowadays numerous possibilities of health prevention are known and although progresses in medicine and in healing arts are constantly made there are as many sick people with as many different diseases like never before. The “International statistical classification of diseases and related health problems” (ICD-10) has been made by the WHO. Actually, nobody really knows exactly how many diseases exist since their amount grows every day. But one thing we know for sure: there is only one health!
In this connection it is important to realize and to accept that our sleep-health as well as our total health really depend on our own thinking, acting and letting go for more than 90 percent.
Aspects of a healthy life
What are the mentioned areas and levels of life that are crucial to our personal rhythm of body, mind and soul and therewith to our overall health?
A lot of people, healer, philosophers, poets and more have dealt with this question again and again. According to our modern knowledge and time spirit find the most important levels and aspects listed below:
• Your physical body
• Your mental-spiritual-emotional balance
• Your patterns of thinking and conviction
• Your relation(s) to yourself and to others
• Your external life circumstances
• Your personal financial situation
• Your attitude towards your surroundings
• Your resilience
• Your personal meaning of life and spiritual balance
So, these are the most important personal levels and aspects that primarily influence and account for your overall health. When we credit the latest findings of quantum physics we might add the answers to the questions concerning health and bring it down to a common denominator: everything is influencing everything. From this perspective, there is actually no-one and no-thing that is not influencing your overall health.
But still, you yourself are and remain the major contributor and “producer of rhythm” to your overall health!
