At our latitude, sleeping a lot often is put on a level with laziness. Or, like author Stephanie Grimm quoted Margaret Thatcher in an interview with the Swiss NZZ: “Sleep is for wimps.”
Let’s take a look at Japan, for example: Here it is possible to do something we rather feel touched unpleasantly –- a nap in public. “In Japan, falling asleep in the office even is interpreted as being a consequence of hard working. The higher the social status of the sleeping person the less embarrassing it is”, so Grimm. But, of course this is a consequence of the meritocracy of Japan. Here, sleeping a lot is almost considered as being a faux pas.
Although manifold scientific studies prove the consequences of lack of sleep for our health and our economy especially for people with targets sleep is a waste of time. The fact, that a proper rhythm and the individually proper amount of high-quality sleep not only is important for our health and for being balanced but also leads to a higher ability of performance as well as more success has not yet been fully established. So, the difference a bioenergetic sleep® makes for the own life is not only noticeable but also visible in an increased performance and more success.
It can only be hoped that the findings of science and research soon have an increased social acceptance.
