One of the first negative effects of persistent, negative stress is the disturbance of the sleeping process. As consequence, body and soul can’t regenerate anymore and the personal performance- and regeneration-limit is reached a lot earlier. But, to get the possibility to have a healthy sleep at all, the sleep needs a basis that in the end only can be fulfilled with a holistic, nature-like sleep-healthy-concept.
A rhythmic balance of activity and recreation during the day is very important for prevention. This supports healthy sleep and prevents from stress-caused sleep disturbances. Ideal is a change of 70 to 90 minutes lasting activity followed by a phase of deactivation, lasting about 20 minutes. This is a so-called BRAC-cycle (Basic Rest Activity Cycle). This improves performance and recreation.
Our organism doesn’t differ positive or negative stress but only: are we activated, balanced or in regeneration. Chronical and negative stress is arising only when we permanently stay in activation for too long. Out of this reason, it is necessary to regularly emphasize short recreational breaks by letting go, relaxing, contemplating and daydreaming. Helpful are for example a siesta, holotropic and simple breathwork.
