For many athletes, mental training is a fixed component in their training. It is a scientifically proved fact that mental exercises are effectively supplementing physical exercises.
Another type of mental training is the so-called lucid dreaming. Lucid dreams are dreams in which you are aware that you are dreaming and were you are actually able to actively direct the dream in the direction desired. This is possible because during lucid dreaming you are having direct access to your subconscious mind. During lucid dreaming you are having different creative possibilities you won’t have by “simple” mental training. During lucid dreaming, for example, you are able to manipulate time and therewith are able to execute complicated movements in slow motion. This enables you to perfectly concentrate on every single step.
By training and repeating the technique of lucid dreaming you actually are able to improve all sports. While having a lucid dream, all executed movements pass into muscle memory, just like when being awake. Only pre-condition is, that you at least once have performed the movement during wakefulness. But, lucid dreaming is advantageous for all people not only for athletes. Everyone can use lucid dreaming and therewith care for positive dreams and a good mood.
